Keep your eyes open! It's that time of year and my first one was a hefty one.

This beauty filled ten frames. I think it was on the little pine for a day before I found it just waiting to be hived. If only they all were so obliging!

I'll be putting a longer video together for youtube that show s us gathering her up for her new home. The magic of swarms are both a blessing and a reminder to keep up on our hive populations. The balance is a delicate dance of timing and room to grow. Kind of like raising kids!
